It's a pruning, weeding, and mowing kind of day. This beauty in our yard makes it all worthwhile!

Somehow the first flowers in the spring are just a tad more beautiful.

Pretty. @Mariby...It's because after a bleak winter, we are desparate for some color.

I envy you. I've been pruning and weeding books and periodicals - not so lovely.

I love these roses because they remind me of Mom. =)

When we lived in Jersey, the two of us planted the most amazing tea rose garden. When I gave birth to Renee, I will never forget her bringing me the most beautiful arrangement I had ever seen in my life. She went out back and cut them from our garden and chucked them in a vase!

Here in GA, we have been blessed (NOT!) with clay. Ugh. Tea roses do not thrive in that mess, so we had to jump on the 'easy to grow and maintain' variety bandwagon. Better that than nothing at all, ladies!
